A Classic Outdoor Summer Camp Experience for Girls in Grades K–12
Camp Hawthorne Ridge in Girard Township offers more than 200 wooded acres filled with hiking trails, outdoor adventures, and space to explore — including trails that wind all the way down into the Gorge. It’s the kind of setting where girls unplug, build confidence, and come home with stories they can’t stop telling.
Summer Camp Sessions for Day Camp, Overnight Camp, and Families
Girls entering grades K–12 can choose from a variety of camp experiences, including day camps, 3- and 5-night overnight camps, troop camps, and family camps. Each session blends beloved camp traditions with themed adventures that keep every week fresh and exciting.

Girls are placed in age-appropriate groups, so activities are designed just for them — and friendships form naturally with peers their own age.
Safe, Accredited Summer Camp Families Can Trust
All Girl Scout camp properties are accredited by the American Camp Association (ACA), meaning they meet rigorous standards for program quality, health, and safety. Camp Hawthorne Ridge provides a safe, nurturing environment where girls are supported by trained staff and encouraged to be fully themselves.
No Troop Required to Attend Girl Scout Camp
Girls do not need to be part of a troop to attend summer camp. They can join as an Indie Girl Scout for just $45, which allows them to attend camp and participate in additional Girl Scout activities throughout the year.
