Farming Fun in Erie! Farmers Markets, Strawberry Fields Open

Farmers markets open at Frontier Park and Perry Square this weekend

Summer feels like it has finally arrived in Erie, and that means fresh produce is here!

Looking for pick your own strawberry details or a great farmers' market? We have details below! Two Erie farmers' markets open this weekend, and all three pick-your-own strawberry farms in Erie County are ready for customers! 


As pick your own conditions can change quickly, it's best to check for updates on farms' websites or social media sites before heading out. We have linked to them below to make it easy for you.

🌽LEAF Open Market🌽

Frontier Park

June 19th, July 3rd, July 17th, July 31st, August 14th, August 28th, September 11th, September 25th, October 9th, and October 23rd

LEAF Open Markets will run biweekly on Saturdays from 10 am to 2 pm on the 8th street side of Frontier Park. They will begin the season with food/produce vendors and reevaluate having non-food and craft/artist vendors a bit later in the summer. Vendors include: Majestic Baking Company, Post Apples, After the Fall Cider, Cafe 7-10, Allburn Florist, Blooming Valley Farms, Erie Ale Works, and more!

🌽Downtown Farmers Market🌽

Perry Square

Every Sunday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 20-October 17. 

Hosted by Erie Downtown Partnership. The Downtown Farmers Market is Downtown Erie's place for local food vendors, farmers, crafters, & artisans. 

🌽Little Italy Farmers Market🌽

331 W. 18th St., Erie

Every Monday from 3 to 6 p.m. June 28-Sept. 27

Featuring produce grown in the SSJNN Urban Farm by Little Italy teens and several local farms including Post Apple's, Finck's Produce, No Dirt Farms, French Street Farms, Strawberry Lane Produce, Blooming Valley Farms, Wild Field Farm, USCRI Erie's Flagship Farms, and more. 

SNAP, WIC and FMNP Senior Vouchers are accepted and DOUBLED to encourage local eating! Major credit cards also accepted.
