Moms rock as entrepreneurs.
I know because I’m a mom (was a single mother actually!) and am an entrepreneur.
Have you ever found yourself wishing for something more? Something yours, that would benefit your family, be fun, flexible and add financial freedom? I know I did, and ended up transferring my Mom skills into a business that I love!
Being a Mom is one of the most demanding -- as well as one of the most rewarding -- jobs out there.
It’s hard work, which means we have awesome skills. Although you may not have thought about it, those skills you learn as a Mom transfer beautifully to the business world.
Don't believe me? Think about it! Just to start, Mom skills include:
- Time Management
- Managing People
- Solution Finder
- Multitasking... the list goes on and on.
And what kind of skills do entrepreneurs need? See above!
You’re AMAZING! You’re not only a Mom, but a successful business woman managing her home and family every day. Yet another hat we wear so well. So why not actually own your own business?
'Flexibility, financial freedom and choices'
The busiest people get the most done, and no one is busier than a mom. That's why I decided to go for it!
I started with only a couple of hours a month, and over time have built a successful, home-based business. I found Mary Kay, Inc. whose priorities mirrored mine … faith first, family second, career third. A company that believes in living by the golden rule and enriching women’s lives. That's exactly what it did for me. I have flexibility, financial freedom and choices, plus my own schedule so I don’t miss a thing with my family. I hit the jackpot! I even earned the use of a career car!
I LOVE my job! Not only because I’m the boss, but I get to pamper lovely ladies, play with color, and boost their overall confidence. Plus for those who choose to pursue their dreams, I get to help make them a reality -- so rewarding on every level.
I also discovered benefits from an entrepreneurial life I never imagined. I’ve grown, and when you grow everyone around you grows. My kids saw me pursue dreams, set goals, face fears with courage, fall down and get back up again — because there are no failures. Only learning experiences and the choice to have fun and celebrate every little win along the journey. Priceless life lessons!
So if you’ve ever dreamed of something more, know that you can have it: I’m living proof. Don’t let fear or excuses stop you from pursuing your dreams. You are enough! Don’t wait to be great, just go for it. I did and my family and I are forever grateful.
