GIVEAWAY: Take a Virtual Class With Erie Artist Rachel Berlin

These classes are not just fun for kids, but for the whole family

By Kara Murphy April 27, 2020

This contest has now ended.

Congratulations to our winner, Jayme!

Erie artist and RLB Art Studio owner Rachel Berlin is used to teaching kids in her at-home studio several times a week.

But she has made the transition to virtual classes since schools have shut down, offering free Facebook live classes every Monday and Friday, and Zoom classes for a small fee every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

My kids and I stumbled onto one of Rachel's free classes in the first week of quarantine, and have come back again and again.

At first I thought it would be a good activity the kids could do on their own while I got my own work done, but now Rachel's classes are a bright spot in my day too. I'm no artist, but she leads her "students" in such a way that even I have created pieces I've proudly hung up on our kitchen walls -- right next to the kids' creations! I find her classes relaxing and inspiring and a great time to catch up and chat with my kids.

You also don't need any special art supplies -- which is great, considering the situation right now. Just paper, pencil and markers and Crayons will do on most projects!

I want other families and kids to have the experience too. So I am excited to partner with Rachel on a class GIVEAWAY!

One family will win a spot in a Zoom class of their choice with Rachel!
