Erie County Wants Your Input on Future of Millcreek Library Branch

Creative and out-of-the-box ideas wanted!

July 1, 2021

The Erie County Public Library is seeking community input for the future of the Millcreek Branch Library. The Millcreek Branch Library, second in foot traffic only to Blasco, is located in the Millcreek Mall Pavilion and is the only leased branch of the five Erie County Public Library Branches.

A twelve-question survey is available through June 30. Virtual focus groups will be held online June 28 and June 30. Register here for the focus group.

All members of the public are invited to participate in the survey and focus groups. Feedback from both regular library users and those who do not use the library is encouraged.

“The goal is to create an actionable plan for the future of this heavily used branch so that any changes are what the community needs and wants for their library,” said Sheryl Thomas, interim director of the Erie County Public Library. “We are looking to capture the hopes and dreams for this location and encourage creativity and outside-of-the-box thinking.”

This project is supported in part through a grant from the Office of Commonwealth Libraries, Pennsylvania Department of Education, with funds provided from the Keystone Recreation, Park, and Conservation Fund.
