Coming in 2023!

September 1, 2022

The expERIEnce Children’s Museum has announced a grant from the PNC Foundation to create a new “Tot Spot” exhibit located in my ERIE, a kid-sized town that is part of the new Children’s Museum. This new area will be created for little learners and will include a space specifically designed for toddlers.

“PNC has continually supported the Children’s Museum, and their commitment to our growth is essential in moving forward with our mission,” said Ainslie Brosig, executive director of the expERIEnce Children’s Museum. “We are appreciative of PNC’s donation and their support of organizations where imagination and determination are at work enhancing people's lives.”

The Tot Spot will feature a seven-foot alphabet tree that sings the ABC’s, a light peg wall for experimenting with light and color, an interactive tabletop experience, a toddler-size kitchenette and windows for play with puppets. Plus, there will be designated section in the Tot Spot with soft flooring for little ones still learning to walk.

“At PNC, investing in the communities we serve is a core value, and we know increasing access to high quality early childhood education is one of the best investments there is,” said Jim Stevenson, PNC regional president for Northwestern Pa. “We are confident the new Tot Spot at the expERIEnce Children’s Museum will help little ones in our community learn and grow through play.”

Construction on the first phase of the new Children’s Museum, including the Tot Spot, is expected to complete in 2023.
