It's a Winter Wonderland at Erie's Asbury Woods

This favorite holiday event is scheduled this weekend!

Experience the magic of the holiday season and the beauty of winter during the annual Winter Wonderland celebration at Asbury Woods this December. This is the 23rd year for Winter Wonderland. 

Winter Wonderland at Asbury Woods will take place from 6 to 9 p.m. on these weekend dates:

  • December 13-15
  • December 20-22
  • December 27-29

Your family can get into the holiday spirit with a stroll along the new boardwalk while taking in the breathtaking sights of winter in the Woods. Highlights include:

  • A synchronized light show featuring holiday music,
  • A warm-up with a sip of hot chocolate and s’mores by the fire,
  • An indoor Discovery Zone where hands-on science and art intersects with outdoor exploration,
  • A model train display sure to delight visitors of all ages.  

Dress warmly and discover wintry thrills with fun outdoor activities that encourages visitors to enjoy nature all year round!

Visitors over 21 can also indulge in a sample of winter beer offerings presented by Erie Beer Company on Fridays during the Winter Wonderland celebration.

“It’s been a holiday tradition for many to walk the boardwalk and enjoy the sights of the holiday season at Asbury Woods’ Winter Wonderland for over 20 years. This year we’re keeping that tradition alive and broadening our programming for visitors to truly embrace Erie’s seasons by trying out snowshoeing and other wintry games,” says Jennifer Farrar, Asbury Woods Executive Director. “We’re excited to expand our Discovery Zone inside the Nature Center where families will be immersed in winter-themed STEM activities and can create a one-of-a-kind art piece to take home."

Ticket Details: Presale tickets are available now! Tickets can also be purchased at the door. All proceeds benefit Asbury Woods.

Ticket prices: $5 for Asbury Woods Supporting Donors and $8 for General Admission. Children 3 and under are free.

The mission of Asbury Woods is to provide all members of the community with meaningful environmental, educational and recreational experiences that inspire a greater sense of environmental awareness, sustainability and stewardship.

The Andrew J. Conner Nature Center at Asbury Woods is the cornerstone of the educational programming, providing animal exhibits, a touch-and-learn Discovery Classroom and free public access.  The Brown’s Farm Barn located on Sterrettania Road provides additional programming space for summer camps, school visits and community programs.  The Greenway Trail at Asbury Woods consists of adjacent tracts of land which provides a network of trails connecting Browns Farm and the Nature Center.  The Greenway Trail provides ample recreational opportunities for hiking, running, biking, skiing, snowshoeing and wading in Walnut Creek.  Trail users will find peaceful spots to rest and relax to take in the serene vistas.
