WQLN PBS is working to reduce the summer slide by challenging local students to a reading race. WQLN recognizes that families are eager to continue learning together. Children who have just completed Kindergarten to fifth grades are invited to compete for prizes for spending the most time reading while we are all staying safe at home for the summer months.
WQLN PBS Summer Reading Race runs July 1 through July 31. Submissions are due by 5pm on August 5.
There will be a winner in each grade category: K-1, 2-3, and 4-5. All readers will keep track of the books they read and their time spent reading.
For more information visit wqln.org/readers. This contest is sponsored by CHIP brought to you by UPMC for Kids.
