Enter on social media by Dec. 1 for a chance to win!

November 18, 2020

“Masks of Erie County” is a design-a-mask challenge sponsored by Erie County and the Erie County Department of Health. The challenge is aimed at reiterating the importance of wearing masks to help slow the spread of COVID-19.

All you have to do to enter is submit a picture of yourself wearing a mask that expresses the uniqueness of YOU! Pay homage to your cultural background, call out your favorite causes, showcase handmade designs and artwork. Whether you choose to be fancy, funny, plain or thoughtful, the possibilities are endless!

“This contest is a fun way for us to engage with residents to start or continue the discussion about the necessity of wearing masks,” said Melissa Lyon, director of the Erie County Department of Health. “It gives  participants of all backgrounds an opportunity to show off their creativity, earn the chance to win prizes and,  most importantly, do their part to keep our community healthy during this global pandemic.”

The deadline to enter is 11:59 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 1.

How to participate

  • Submit an image of you in your mask via Facebook or Instagram.
