WQLN PBS Presents Preschool Lessons By Erie Teachers On TV

New show will air at 3 p.m. weekdays starting Jan. 25

January 20, 2021

WQLN recognizes that children, families, and teachers are eager to continue learning together whether at home or at school.

Some of our youngest learners have not yet returned to their normal preschool routine, so WQLN PBS is helping to create a bridge to learning opportunities and engaging experiences while some kids continue to stay at home.

WQLN PBS Homeroom brings learning to life by airing lessons from several local preschool educators on WQLN PBS 54.1 Monday through Friday from 3pm until 3:30pm. These 30-minute lessons begin January 25th. They are geared toward preschool children.

Subjects to be covered during these televised lessons from local teachers include ELA, Math, Science, and Social Studies. Each Friday will highlight a bilingual or special education lesson.

Additionally, WQLN continues its work in partnership with the Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) to provide instructional programming through the seven PBS member stations in the commonwealth.
