United Way of Erie County has proudly sponsored local National Night Out (NNO) events since 2004. The following organizations are receiving grant funding from United Way to hold a National Night Out events on Tuesday, August 1, 2023. Attend to meet your neighbors and help build a stronger, friendlier community where you live!
Below are details on events including any available information on location, times and kid-friendly activities:
Academy Neighborhood Association & Jefferson Elementary
Location: Baker Field, E 32 and Holland Erie PA
Time: 5:30 – 8 p.m.
Events: An interactive drum circle for families and soccer balls for a pickup soccer game on the field along with
fingerprinting.
Bayfront East Side Taskforce & The Youth Leadership Institute of Erie
Location: Wallace Street Park in East Bayfront, E Front St
Time: 5-8 p.m.
Events: There will be face painting, games, and a kickball game.
Belle Valley Fire Department
Location: 1514 Norcross Road
Time: 6-8 p.m.
Events: Kids can enjoy a jump house and slide, a petting zoo, horses, and car demonstrations.
Borough of Union City Police Department & Union City Family Support Center
Location: Caflisch Park, 48 Willow St, Union City
Time: 6-8 p.m.
Events: There will be fingerprinting.
Diehl Elementary
Location: 2327 Fairmount Pkwy
Time: 5-7 p.m.
Events: There will be inflatables through Crazy Monkey.
East Middle
Events:1001 Atkins Street (Wayne Park) Erie PA
Time: 5:30 -7 p.m.
Events: Bounce house and yard games will be available.
Edison Elementary, Boys and Girls Club & Achievement Center of LECOM Health
Location: Edison Elementary, 1921 E Lake Rd
Time: 4-6 p.m.
Events: Yard games will be available.
Elk Valley Elementary, Elk Valley PTO, Elk Creek Recreation and Leisure Board, Rice Avenue Community Public Library & Love INC
Location: Girard High School (Student parking lot), 1135 Lake St
Events: Jump houses, face painting/glitter tattoos, books, and school bags will be available.
Fairview Fire and Rescue
Location: 7190 West Ridge Road
Time: 6-8 p.m.
Glenwood Methodist Church
Location: 2931 Myrtle Street
Time: 6-8 p.m.
Events: There will be cornholes and other carnival games and inflatable attractions.
Greene Township
Location: 9333 Tate Road
Time: 6-8 p.m.
Events: There will be a playground and bounce houses.
Grover Cleveland & Erie Free Store
Location:1540 West 38th St
Time: 4:30-7 p.m.
Events: Kindergarten registration with required vaccine information, games, garden-themed crafts, a petting zoo, face painting, and a bounce house will be available.
Housing Authority of the City of Erie
Location: Erie Heights Gazebo, 4020 Garden Ave
John F Kennedy Center, Inc.
Location:2021 East 20th Street (main building), 2038 Buffalo Road
Time: 5-8 p.m.
Events: Bounce House, carnival games, bingo, and face painting.
Lawrence Park Township & Wesleyville Borough
Location: Iroquois Elementary School, 4231 Morse Street
Events: There will be a Color Dance and school supplies giveaway.
McKinley Elementary
Location:933 East 22nd St
Time: 3-6 p.m.
Events: Activities may include a dunk tank, petting zoo, face painting, chalk, Children’s Museum mobile units, and an open garden.
Mercy Center for Women
Location: 1012 East 28th Street
Time: 4-6 p.m.
Events: There will be games and entertainment.
Our West Bayfront
Location: Gridley Park, 598 Liberty St
Time: 5-8 p.m.
Events: An entire side of Gridley Park is filled with free family-friendly activities, including a bounce house, face painting, coloring, yard games, and information about Erie’s Public Schools directly from the schools themselves.
Sisters of Saint Joseph Neighborhood Network
Location: Columbus Park, 655 W 16th St
Time: 3-6 p.m.
Events: Erie Dance Theater will perform and provide group instruction. There will also be book giveaways, and the parklet will be available.
Wattsburg Borough
Location: Della Bayle Park, Wattsburg
Time: 5-7 p.m.
Events: There will be dunk tanks, school bags, bikes, face painting, a bounce house, water activities, and other fun activities.
Wilson Middle & Lincoln Elementary
Location:Wilson Middle School, 718 East 28th Street
Time: 12-3 p.m.
Events: There will be inflatable games, craft stations, school readiness stations, and middle school kits.
