My kids have long associated Port Farms with fall fun ... but now we have a great reason to visit this locally-owned farm in summer too!
We've had so much fun there the last two years for Port Farms' Summer Days — previously known as Flower Festival — that I think it's safe to say it's a new annual tradition for us. We just made this year's visit, and we had such a great time!

1. The photo opps
You can immerse yourself in five acres of u-pick sunflowers, cosmos, and zinnias during Summer Days at Port Farms ... talk about Instagram opps! While we were there, we saw people doing all sorts of photo shoots, from senior pictures to pregnancy announcements. My pictures can't compare to the professionals, but I loved the ones I got while we were there ... this picture is my new profile pic on my Facebook page:

2. The chance to get playful
Seeing my kids wander through the flower fields was magical but that is far from the only attraction here! Many of your kids' fall favorites are open during Summer Days and are included with the price of admission. You'll find endless imaginative play opportunities at Tiny Town, lots of places to run and jump and slide, and friendly goats ready for a snack. And that's just to start! In all, there are 20 attractions open during Summer Days that kids of all ages will find fun. Plan on spending at least a few hours for you and the kids to play! Plus, there's a beer garden! You'll all go home exhausted and happy.

3. The truly special events
Port Farms has expanded Summer Days this year to include events and festivals every weekend it's open! Special events include live music, Sunset Yoga in the Flower Fields, a Daddy Daughter Dance, Blooms, Bubbles, & Butterflies, a Craft Show, and a Mother Son Dance!

4. The yummy food and drinks
Strawberry lemonade. Fresh smoked BBQ pulled pork. A smokey s'mores root beer float. A Fruity Pebbles funnel cake. Adult drinks from local faves like Lavery Brewing Company, Luminary Distilling, and Fuhrman's Cider.
We could go on .... but you get the idea. Come hungry. And thirsty.

5. And... did we mention the flowers?
Not to get cheesy, but there's something special about getting lost in five acres of beautiful and colorful flowers. The bees are buzzing, butterflies float from stem to stem, and everyone is smiling and having a great time.
