Erie Teacher Authors Book About Santa

There comes a time when every kid asks questions about Christmas magic

By Macaroni KID Erie November 9, 2023

Local teacher AmyJo Shrader recently authored a book called I am Santa for children that explains to them the truth about Santa in a special way. I picked up this book at Werner Books recently and thought it was very sweet and moving and perfect for parents whose children are asking questions about Santa that they're unsure how to answer. After all, there comes a time when every kid questions the existence of Santa Claus. Finally, the truth is revealed and it just might be closer to home than you think!

I asked AmyJo for more information, and here's what she told me:

I am a wife, mother to two boys, and a special education teacher in Millcreek Township.

I love reading and teaching children to read. I have always wanted to write a book and thought this was the perfect one to start with.

The idea to write this book began many years ago, even before I became a mom. Children always ask their parents if there really is a Santa Claus, and the answer is ‘Yes, there really is a Santa,’ it’s just not who the kids think it is. I Am Santa gives parents a way to tell their children the truth about Santa without taking away the magic of Santa.

I Am Santa is available locally at Lake Erie Variety in the Village West Plaza, Werner Books in the Liberty Plaza, and in-store at Barnes and Noble on Peach Street. It is also available online at Amazon, Walmart, and Barnes and Noble. Get your copy today!
