Here are our top five picks for family-friendly events in Erie this week. From empowering stage shows like 'Annie' and 'Hairspray' to creative and free activities at the Iroquois Library and Neighborhood Art House, plus exciting appearances by PAW Patrol and your Erie SeaWolves, there's something for everyone:

1. Cheer on that girl power

Who is your favorite female stage superstar? You can pick from Annie, Tracy or Mary just this weekend! 'Annie' is on stage at Girard High School, Tracy Turnblad will take the stage at Collegiate Academy for performances of 'Hairspray,' and 'Mary Poppins' will give you a spoonful of sugar at Erie Day School. Find all the details on these school shows and others still coming to the Erie area this spring. Thursday-Saturday, April 11-13

2. FREE: Box Fort Jr. at Iroquois Library (Registration Required)

You could let the kids destroy your living room ... or you could head to Iroquois Library to build a box fort castle! This free event encourages lots of creativity and working together with friends, new and old. Registration is required, but, as of April 11, there are still seats available. Friday, April 12

3. FREE: Make Suncatchers at the Neighborhood Art House (Registration Required)

Head to the Neighborhood Art House on the Second Saturday of each month for a free all ages art activity - a morning of good company and creative fun! This month you can add some color to your windows by making beaded suncatchers with a wide assortment of beads and crystals to pick from to catch the light. Registration is required for this free event. Saturday, April 13

4. See PAW Patrol's Chase and Friends at Erie Insurance Arena

Have PAW Patrol fans in your house? You can't miss their live shows at Erie Insurance Arena this weekend. In PAW Patrol Live! “The Great Pirate Adventure,” Mayor Goodway is getting everything shipshape for a big Pirate Day celebration in Adventure Bay. But when Cap’n Turbot falls into a dark and mysterious cavern, it’s PAW Patrol to the rescue! Saturday and Sunday, April 13 and 14

5. Cheer on your Erie SeaWolves!

The Erie SeaWolves are back for another great season! They're in town all week, but every Sunday game is Family Fun Day! Bring a mitt and play catch on the field with your kids after the game. Fingers crossed for good weather! Sunday, April 14
