1. FREE: Nature in Your Neighborhood at Perry Square

The FREE Asbury Woods Nature in Your Neighborhood program kicks off for the summer today! Bring the whole family to Perry Square from 2-3 p.m. for hands-on science fun and FREE books for the kiddos! Get more info and the weekly schedule here. Thursday, June 13

2. Erie Juneteenth Block Party at Perry Square

Everyone is welcome at this free family-friendly festival in the heart of downtown Erie! There will be live music, vendors, giveaways, and special guests — all celebrating African-American culture, heritage and history. Saturday, June 15

3. Farmers' Markets open

Get ready for a fun and fresh weekend because both North East's Gibson Park Open Market and the LEAF - Lake Erie Arboretum at Frontier Park Farmers Market kick off Saturday. Don't miss out on all the delicious local goodies. Details:

4. The Great American Book Sale at Fabrizio Ice Center 

It's the most wonderful sale of the year! The Great American Book Sale runs all week at the Flo Fabrizio Ice Center. This is THE can't-miss annual sale for booklovers. Most books are 50 cents to $2. The collection is updated continuously, so come multiple days for a whole new selection! Tip: Bring at least one bag, or maybe even a wagon to transport your treasures. Sunday-Friday, June 16-21
