CelebrateErie will take place this weekend, Aug. 16-18 on State Street in downtown Erie. Its focus is on all things local — including art, culture, food and music ... and my family can't wait to check out this year's fun!

Here are 9 reasons families will want to head to CelebrateErie this weekend:

1. The Family District

Engaging family fun for children, teens, parents, and grandparents! Enjoy interactive family experiences from crafting to STEM to music and arts and the Family District Stage, where you'll find music, dance, and wellness activities for children and adults to enjoy. And most will be entirely FREE!

2. The music and performers

All day long you'll see local and regional musical acts of all genres on three different stages, the Perry Square Stage, the Family Stage and the Living Room Stage. In the evenings national touring acts will take the Mainstage! Click here to see who will be performing.

3. Interactive Drum Circles

Take part in walk-up drum circles where you can enjoy the collective rhythm throughout the weekend!

4. The ChalkWalk

Always fun to stroll by each and find your favorite. 

5. The Food! The Drink! 

Enjoy unique cuisine from our region, from food trucks, to local dining, to locally made wine and craft beer.

6. The art

Don't miss the display of our region’s visual arts, interactive demonstrations, and artisan vendors.

7. Multicultural Marketplace

Local merchants representing the diverse cultures and goods from around the world come together for a unique marketplace.

From a Multicultural Marketplace to an Interactive Showcase, there will be blocks of locally-owned businesses to explore, visit with and find treasures you can't leave without!
