Girard Cemetery Walk Returns October 6, 7!!
The Girard Cemetery Walk returns this fall, allowing those who dare to visit the cemetery after dark an opportunity to meet and chat with the spirits of prominent figures from Girard’s past.
Sponsored by the West County Historical Association, the Cemetery Walk provides a unique way to learn a bit of local history. Costumed storytellers portray former area citizens while lantern-bearers guide participants through the cemetery grounds.
Tours depart from the First Presbyterian Church of Girard, 260 East Main Street in Girard PA, at 7:00pm and 9:00pm on October 6 and October 7, 2023. Free refreshments follow at the Presbyterian Church social hall.
NOTE: This tour is not recommended for children under eight years of age. For the safety and enjoyment of tour participants, strollers will not be permitted.
The walk will take place rain or shine, so please wear comfortable shoes and dress for the weather.
