Penn State Extension Master Gardeners of Erie County will host the annual Pumpkin Walk at Waldameer Park and Water World on October 6 and 7, 2023.
The Master Gardener Pumpkin Walk is a popular family-friendly community event. Bring your flashlight and dress for an outdoor walk through beautiful Waldameer Park. Enjoy the spectacle of over 1,000 illuminated pumpkins carved by many Erie County community groups and sing along to the student-designed, Halloween-themed Erie High School light show. While you enjoy the sights, learn about the Spotted Lanternfly, Bees, and other Penn State Extension programming in our area.
New this year, Master Gardener Pumpkin Walk tickets will be available beginning August 21, 2023, Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 3:30 pm at the Penn State Extension- Erie County Office in the Summit Township Municipal Building located at 1230 Townhall Rd West, Suite 400, Erie, PA. Cash or check is happily accepted.
Penn State Extension trains Master Gardener volunteers to serve the community and educate the public on a wide variety of gardening and environmental topics. They are available to provide hands-on training through demonstrations and seminars for home gardeners, clubs, and other organizations. Funds collected at this event stay in the Erie County community to provide the public free or low-cost horticultural education.
A cash donation of $4 is suggested for attendees over three years of age.
The event will take place rain or shine.
